beats you to it! Summer Pines Cottage represents the very best of what Airbnb has to offer: an incredible home, a stunning location, and a great host who wants you to have the best possible stay. The cottage itself is fabulous. It's flooded with natural light, the internet is extremely fast (well over 200 mbps down and 10 mbps up), and the recent kitchen renovation is a dream. Valerie had thought of every item we could need
while cooking. In terms of location,
Kelley's pond is a stone's throw away,
the beach is just down the road, and
West Dennis is perfectly positioned to explore all of Cape Cod. If you're looking for a great night out, walk over to
O'Shea's Olde Inne, which has live
music 365 days a year. We loved the nearby Three Fins coffee shop too.
My husband and I travel extensively,
and our week-long stay here quickly became one of our most memorable Airbnb experiences. If you're planning
a trip to Cape Cod, look no further!
Summer Pines cottage was the perfect location for our first time visit to Cape Cod. There is a lot of privacy and yet it is centrally located to all the attractions that the Cape has to offer. The cottage was beautifully decorated, and there was obvious attention to the details that would be needed by her guests. We would definitely do this again!
Our family of 4 fit perfectly in this little cottage. The home was so wonderful. Many small touches that make your stay memorable. Will recommend to anyone wanting to visit the cape.
Valerie's Cottage at Kelley's Pond is a wonderful place to spend a nice, quiet day exploring the fantastic Cape Cod area. The house is decorated with love, a place to feel good. We enjoyed the time here very much!
The cottage is quite charming. We stayed with our infant daughter, but we could easily imagine vacationing there with 3 children. We had everything we needed to grill dinner every night, and there were plenty of local markets nearby so that we could stock up on great food. We would love to come back!
I rented Valerie's cottage with two friends from college, for a quick, relaxing Fall getaway. We decided on Valerie's place because of the price, and proximity to waterfront and restaurants, and it totally delivered. It is a very charming and well-maintained cottage. The dock to get to the pond is just steps away, and it is absolutely lovely. Especially at sunset. We got some great photos! It was also within walking distance of some places to eat, and a quick car trip to a bunch more places to eat or shop. None of us have ever been to Dennis, but it's very quaint and cute! A big highlight of the house was the outdoor shower, which appears to have been recently updated-nice new floors and fixtures, and the hot water comes on right away. All around we had a great stay, and would recommend it.
My wife and I spent 5 nights here. A unique cottage perfectly located in West Dennis. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Valerie was super easy to work with. The property has everything you need for a fun stay on Cape Cod. Make sure to have dinner at O'Shea's - great food and live music. We had such a fun evening that we had to go back a second night.
Great stay! Very quiet neighborhood (after Labor Day!), yet close to anything you might want to do (kayak, lovely beach, float around the pond, eat out). In such a small kitchen, I think there was just about EVERYTHING you could need! Comfy bed (since just the two of us, didn't need the 2nd floor :) Valerie was right on top of any questions-highly recommend this spot--hope to come back next year-many thanks again for sharing your adorable cottage! :)
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage, both my boys as well as myself found it very convenient to many locations in the area. The cottage was kept clean and organized and the comfort level was spectacular. Thank you for being a great hostess.
We can absolutely recommend the summer cottage. It is very nicely decorated. Valerie immediately responded to questions.
We had a FANTASTIC TIME. The cottage was so cute and the area beautiful and peaceful. Can't wait to go back for a longer stay. It was a perfect relaxing start to our honeymoon.
We had the most wonderful time at Summer Pines Cottage. The cottage was incredibly clean, bright, and had everything we needed and more. The location was excellent - great little neighborhood close to the beach and lots of restaurants. Valerie made us feel so welcome and was and great to work with – very responsive and easy to get in touch with. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this listing!
“The cottage was beautiful and homey! It had that wonderful cape feeling that I absolutely love. My sister in law is not from the area and especially adored all the little cape cod touches :)”
“I wouldn't change a thing!”
“This is an amazing little beach style house. It had everything we needed and more. Very well equipped with everything of high quality. The pond is just across the path and beautiful for swimming in, there's a little jetty to use. There are of course many beaches, West Dennis is glorious. The upstairs rooms are of low head height so best for younger kids, also the spiral staircase very tight. The downstairs double room is large and bed very comfy. We BBQ'd a couple of times on the deck, had some great meals out, the local Pizza place had some of the best pizza we've had! Five star place definitely! Thank you Valerie. ”
We loved our stay at Summer Pines cottage, it is exactly how it looks on the pictures. It's nice, cozy and peaceful, size is just right for our family of 4. My kids love the lofts. Val is quick to respond and gave helpful tips to explore the area.
I really enjoyed staying there. It was the perfect place for us. Great location. Had everything we needed and more. What a great family vacation.
Valerie is a wonderful, caring host. She made sure that all members of our party were comfortable and provided a wealth of information on and directions to beaches, restaurants, and local attractions. The cottage itself is a little gem; it's easy to get to. And the location is superb: it really does sit on the lake and is within an easy walk, or a 3-minute car ride, from the beach. Very quiet and nice neighborhood. The deck is wonderful with the grill, and the outdoor shower is perfect for summertime outdoor living. Despite the proximity to the lake, we were not bothered by mosquitoes at all. Inside the cottage is exactly as advertised, stocked with everything you may need, and it comfortably sleeps four. It is well-built and cleverly designed: in the 90+ degree weather, downstairs is cool and comfortable even during daytime and absolutely perfect at night without any need for AC. You do need to switch on the window ACs upstairs, but they cool the space in no time.
Thanks so much again for such a wonderful time. The kids and I had a great time and your home was beautiful! I was wondering if the same week was open for next year?
We had a wonderful time. We walked around the pond and went to the beach. Visited The Skipper and had chowder. Very good. Ate at the Kream n Cone and had a few too many Irish ales at O'Sheas. People were so nice and friendly there. Had a pretty nice conversation there with Butch the bartender! The only bad part about the whole thing was it was too short! Very nice little cottage. We pretty much had the run of the place. No one else was around. All and all an excellent trip. Thanks for getting us in last minute. Really appreciate that. Will definitely check it out again.
Fantastic weekend away in Cape Cod! The charming tree lined street and a view of the pond made it even more perfect! I enjoyed my coffee every morning looking toward at the water from the peaceful front porch. The cottage was immaculate and fit all of our needs. The backyard has a beautiful porch and opens into a surprisingly spacious yard!(nice landscaping too!) Cant say enough. We are definitely coming back! Thanks for the great experience!
This cottage had everything you need for a vacation except your clothes and food. Sleeps 6 comfortably. The pond is right across from the cottage and the beach is less than a mile. Restaurants and shopping are near by also within a mile. Perfect location to everything!
What a lovely visit we had! Took an outdoor shower everyday! Sipped coffee looking out at the pond and had amazing walks along the beach. Very clean and comfortable little gem!
Such a cozy and comfortable place to stay! Cottage is clean, well maintained and charming. The neighborhood is so cute and Kelley's Pond just a few steps away. We fell in love with West Dennis! Such great proximity to fantastic beaches...this cottage is ideally located as a home base for exploring all the Cape has to offer.
Thank you for the rental on Pond Street in West Dennis that ended this past Saturday. We had a great time and the weather was perfect.
Summer Pines was perfect for us during our stay. It was a great experience to stay in a lovely Cape cottage. Thank you so much for providing all the amenities you do. The pictures Valerie has posted on this site and her own website and her Facebook page are 100% accurate. Summer Pines has all the charm of the Cape I have always pictured. The cottage is the perfect size for two or a small family. The location in West Dennis is outstanding.
From the first time I had contact with Valerie when inquiring about her property until we returned from our vacation, Valerie was prompt with all replies, answered any questions
I had and she refunded the security deposit in less than a week. It is obvious she truly cares about Summer Pines and the Cape.
This was our first visit to Cape Cod and it was everything we could have hoped for. Biking the Cape Cod Rail Trail was a wonderful beginning to our week. We were thrilled with the beaches of Dennis (Corporation, Mayflower and West Dennis). We watched kite boarders, enjoyed gorgeous sunsets, and were amazed at how far into Cape Cod Bay you could walk at low tide. We spent a day in Provincetown and were very impressed with Art's Dunes Tours and stopped at various lighthouses at beaches on Cape Cod National Seashore. We also went to Falmouth/Woods Hole where we saw Nobska Light, Spohr Gardens and the Knob. Our last day trip was to Orleans/Chatham to enjoy more unique beaches and another lighthouse. Finally, we were fortunate enough to get to two Cape Cod Baseball League games at Yarmouth Dennis High School just minutes from Summer Pines.
Do yourself a favor and rent Summer Pines for your vacation on Cape Cod and experience the Cape as it was meant to be.
The cottage is beautifully decorated, drenched in light, and enjoys breezes from Kelley's pond. If you're a walker you'll have a variety of walks... to Bass river past classic cape cod homes, to West Dennis beach, a nice playground is nearby, or to a local Cafe, Pizza shop, or General Store... it's all within walking distance. A short ride to Bass River Farmers Market. If there is a rainy day, pick up a duraflame log and enjoy a fire. Young explorers and those seeking peace will find the dock across the street to be a great place. Our daughters, ages 8 and 9 1/2, adored the loft area. We really enjoyed our stay.
My family of 4 stayed for a week and we had a great time! The place was perfect for us! The downstairs bedroom was perfect for us, while the kids did great in the upstairs lofted bedrooms. Everything was clean and tidy! It was close to the West Dennis beach, which was beautiful! The water was calmer there than on the Eastern Cape beaches, which we drove to on one of the days of our vacation. Valerie has lists of restaurants that she recommended; we tried several of them and without exception they were great! During our stay, we sent several messages to Valerie, and she was always very quick to respond!
We loved our stay at Valerie’s cottage! Perfect location and beautiful home. We hope to come back and stay again! Loved the little details, the outside shower, and the amazing views. The upstairs is more geared toward children with the ceiling being a bit short. We have a 1 year old and he thought this space was so much fun! First time in the cape and we are already dreaming of coming back.
This cottage is adorable. It's exactly as pictured in the listing, but seemed even better in person! My husband and I stayed with our 3 year old, and all 3 of us comfortably fit in the master bedroom (we brought a little cot for our daughter). The upstairs rooms were very cute, but we didn't even need them. The outdoor space is so nice for evening dinners, and the outdoor shower is perfect after a long day at the beach! We will definitely be returning to the cottage someday!
Recently stayed at the cottage...
we loved it and had a great time! I would highly recommend this cottage. It was fully equipped, everything you could ever need or forgot to pack! With a great location and plenty to do, its definitely on my list of places to return. The owner was also very professional and easy to work with. Enjoy!
Had a wonderful time at the cottage. My friend and I were very pleased and enjoyed the quiet. The cottage was quite comfortable and very clean. Location was perfect and made it easy to venture off in both directions to points of interest. West Dennis Beach was great. Sunset at Mayflower Beach was spectacular and dinner at the Ocean House Restaurant is a must. The owner has created a warm and cozy cottage, fully supplied with everything you need.(Beach chairs, towels, sheets, etc.) Check it out. You won't be sorry.
Summer Pines cottage was a good getaway for me. We also found the place in West Dennis where my sister and her husband spent their honeymoon 50 years ago. It overlooks the West Dennis golf course and the Bass River. She said it had not changed at all. Although I've vacationed more than 20 times on the Cape, there is always something new to discover. We went to the WHAT (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre) in Wellfleet. On a rainy day, we took in the Cape Cod Art Museum and funky movie theater in Dennis.
My family and I vacationed here in August...great location for families with young children. My son loved it here, very peaceful, friendly, clean. This was a very different vacation for us very restful, accommodations where wonderful...loved not having to drag all my linens. This cottage was immaculate and the owner was very helpful and followed up immediately with any questions we had. Thank you for a great vacation!
Summer Pines Cottage is one of the nicest rental cottage in the area - it is updated, well stocked and decorated and feels airy with lots of natural light from the skylight and glass sliders to the large deck and patio. The West Dennis location is uncrowded and very beautiful. The cottage is in an upscale neighborhood, surrounded by large, well kept homes and are within walking distance to everything - the beach, restaurants and harbors.
Our stay at Summer Pines was awesome, thank you so much for opening up your property to us! The cottage and surrounding area are beautiful. We had a great time! We loved the outdoor shower and I was very thankful for the rocking chairs and step stool, as a toddler mom those things are helpful, thank you.
This is a kid/small family friendly cottage. Going in June was perfect for our little one as the weather wasn't as hot and so we were able to do a lot of outdoor activities. The cottage is an easy bike ride from the beach and is conveniently located, yet has a private feel to it.
Recommendations from Valerie via the Home Away app were very helpful. The cottage was very nice and well kept and we very much appreciated our stay. Thank you again!
Thanks so much again for such a wonderful time. The kids and I had a great time and your home was beautiful!
Our experience in Valerie's cottage was amazing!! She gave us precise directions to the house and once we arrived, we realized we had made a great decision by renting this place for a week. The view to Kelly's Pond was great, the area safe, plenty of restaurants and activities for adults and kids, supermarkets just minutes away, and most importantly the house itself was the perfect space. The cottage was clean, it had everything we needed to cook some meals, the bedrooms and bathroom were perfectly set-up, and the wonderful fireplace was an incredible (and magical!) bonus. Valerie is very accommodating and responsive. She is definitely the hostess with the mostest! My husband, son and I will certainly return to Cape Cod and hope we can stay at Valerie's place, where we felt like home. Thank Valerie!
We soaked up everything we could while staying in this wonderful cottage ~ thank you, we will remember this week at Summer Pines Cottage with a full heart!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous cottage. Such tasteful decorations and the perfect size for two adults and a curious 10 month old (and with more room to spare!). We felt we had the perfect spot to explore everything the Cape had to offer. Valerie was so easy to communicate with and check-in was a breeze. Our daughter especially enjoyed her take-home beanie friend, a lovely touch :)
The cottage is ideally located to travel all around Cape Cod and is very charming and welcoming. It has everything needed and more: the deck for sunny breakfast, the bbq, the outdoor hot shower. The pond was a plus for my 4 years old daughter to go swimming again after being back from the beach. We went out for dinner once, at the Sesuit harbor cafe, recommended by Valerie and it was definitely worth it: fresh fish, outdoor dinning area on the marina, very casual. Thanks Valerie for creating a very cozy atmosphere in your cottage, we felt instantly like at home, and have had great family moments!
My husband and I took a much needed vacation and found Valerie's cottage to be just the right place. The cottage is so adorable and decorated very nicely. We enjoyed the back deck with some cocktails and a few card games. Kayaking is just minutes away. If it's seafood that you want, it can be found everywhere. Nearby O'Shea's pub had a great Irish music session on Thursday night and West Dennis beach is also close by. If it's raining, you can binge watch your favorite series with the Roku. Valerie was very quick to respond to our text communications with her. Anyone with small children might want to know that there is only a spiral staircase to get to the extra bedrooms upstairs. Also, if you are in need of a lot of air conditioning, there are two window units but they are in the upstairs bedrooms, none downstairs. There are ceiling fans and other table fans available. We had a great time at the cottage and do plan on going back again someday.
Very cozy little cottage. Clean warm and bright. There was always a nice little breeze coming off the pond. Was very peaceful and quiet. Loved listening to and watching the birds. The pond was quiet and surprisingly warm for May. The cottage has two loft bedrooms attached by a catwalk which I think kids would love. Everything you need is within walking distance. The owner was very helpful. Got us in last minute and provided all kinds of helpful and informative information about the area. Morning coffee on the patio in the sun was such a treat. Had a very relaxing wonderful time.
Our family of 4 (two boys aged 6 and 3) had a fabulous week here. We highly recommend kayaking on the Bass river, jet skiing at The Lighthouse Inn, the Pirate Boat out of Hyannis and West Dennis and Mayflower beaches. We enjoyed biking to the beach (saves $20 too!). We were blessed with a gorgeous week of weather here and really loved using the outdoor shower. Thank you for a wonderful week in your beautiful cottage!
Very well kept, beautiful cottage where we stayed for a week with our family (two teenagers). The cottage is cozy, and there is a beautiful deck on the back. The outdoor shower is lovely after a swim in the lake. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. We can recommend it!
The cottage is fabulous with every convenience anyone could need or wish for. Beautifully clean and thoughtfully decorated. We used the cottage as a base to visit the whole of Cape Cod from bottom to top and down again.. Memorable trips were whale watching, Hyannis and the Kennedy Museum, Harbour boat trip from Hyannis and seals in the harbour, pretty Chatham, In fact all the towns and beaches we visited were fantastic. We saw and did so much it is difficult to choose any favourites. This is definitely a cottage and a place we will visit again."

We had a wonderful time! Thank you so much! The addition is awesome! We loved the sliding windows. Perfect for catching a nice breeze. We spent time in the front room working on puzzles during breaks or in the evening as we were aiming for a limited TV week.
Great week on the cape, We loved the mid cape area. The cottage was perfect for my wife and I, plus two 13 yr old girls.
We hit five different beaches. Took a day trip to Nantucket and loved it! We found Chapins in Denisport to be our new favorite restaurant. The pond was the highlight of our experience. The kids and I loved the outdoor shower. Overall , we made some great memories!
Sweet accommodation nestled in an enclave of a dozen or so cottages on Kelly's Pond. Location on Mid-Cape is convenient for exploring all of Cape Cod. Most comfortable bed. Late spring is a great and quiet time to enjoy the landscape and local culture prior to busy summer season.
The cottage is clean and bright and was a wonderful home base for our daily adventures on the Cape. Walking down to O'Shea's was one of the best parts of our stay and it was easy to drive to any point on the Cape from this central location. Quiet area, very peaceful and welcoming experience.
This cozy super clean cottage was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Perfect for the two of us as we had never been to Cape Cod before so wanted a central base for day trips. The beach was about a 15 min walk or just a few minutes by car and kayak and bike rentals were close by. We really enjoyed our week here!
We had an amazing time. What a magical little spot you have!
While my husband was out of the country with our daughter I decided to take my two grown boys to The Cape. What a great decision that was. We had such a marvelous time together. The accommodations were lovely and so cozy. Such a beautiful location. I would visit again in a heartbeat. Valerie was wonderful and so accommodating. Thank you!!
Lovely cottage with beautiful views a great loft space with two beds for kids. We loved Anthony's Italian Deli for delicious meals. The Good Friends Cafe was a great place for breakfast, the owner, Chrissy is very sweet. The view of Kelley's Pond was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring West Dennis Beach. We would recommend visiting the 1856 Country Store in Barnstable and Currents for beautiful jewelry near the cottage.
Very beautiful cottage - right in the perfect location to explore Cape Cod. We stayed as a family of four and had enough space for us. Well equipped and clean! Simply a perfect place for a week or so. Owner was very helpful and responded to our requests without delay - very positive experience. We highly recommend this place!
Charming little house close to everything a family can need for an amazing trip to the Cape. Wonderful host very quick to respond to any questions / recommendations and located only a few steps from a pond for afternoon splash.
